MARSHFIELD, Mass. – After a two-goal performance against rival Elmira, the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) named Norwich freshman Olivia Boyer (Saint Paul, Minn.) its Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. The same two-goal performance also netted Boyer a spot on the All-Tournament Team for the 12th Annual East-West Hockey Classic.

This is the second time this season Boyer has earned the honor. The first came on Nov. 7 after totaling three goals and an assist to open the season against Endicott and UMass Boston. The freshman center has made an impact for the Cadets with 10 points (six goals, four assists) in her first 11 games.

“Olivia is a dream to coach and gives everything she has each and every day,” said Head Coach Sophie Leclerc Doherty. “We are fortunate to have her as part of our group.”

Boyer will look to continue her strong rookie campaign when the seventh ranked Cadets return to NEHC play when they visit Elmira on Jan. 6.
