WINTHROP, Mass. – After a 1-1 week at the 2022 Ed Hockenbury Classic, Haley Brewster (Virginia Beach, Va.) of the Norwich University women’s basketball team earned a spot on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

The honor marks the third in the opening four weeks of the season for the sophomore, after being selected to the Honor Roll during weeks one and two of the 2022-23 campaign.

Brewster averaged 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds over the weekend for the Cadets, opening up her first game back from Thanksgiving break with an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double effort in a thrilling 67-56 win over Eastern Nazarene College in the opening game of the Hockenbury Classic.

She followed that up with 14 points in a loss to Trinity College in the title game, logging an 8-11 clip from the charity stripe during the tourney.  She also averaged 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals over both contests.

Brewster and the Norwich women’s basketball team will tip-off conference play tomorrow evening in Nashua, N.H., at Rivier University.  Gametime is slated for 5:00 p.m.
