Meet Elaina Latino, age 21, majoring in computer security and information assurance with a concentration in digital forensics, from New Hampshire.
In school, Eliana has a strong passion for cyber security and its implications for the future due to emerging technologies. She is particularly interested in how these technologies may impact crime and privacy.
“I chose Norwich University primarily because of its highly regarded cybersecurity program and emphasis on small class sizes. This environment has provided me with the best opportunities to excel in school. Outside of school, I am dedicated to maintaining an active lifestyle through activities like skiing and surfing and actively participating in the Norwich field hockey club. Additionally, I enjoy painting with friends and am currently learning to crochet.
Looking ahead to my post-graduate aspirations, my goal is to secure a job in digital forensics. I am driven by the desire to help individuals and communities stay safe online.
A guiding principle that I live by is one that my mother instilled in me during my childhood: “Treat others as you would like to be treated.” I strongly believe in treating everyone with respect and kindness, as we never know what challenges they may be facing.”
Eliana is also actively involved with the International Center at Norwich as she loves to travel and hopes to help other students study abroad.
