Enthusiast for analog photography captures Norwich one picture at a time

Rodion Pedyuk is a CSIA major with a concentration in Digital Forensics and Information Assurance. He is a part of the class of 2025, set to graduate in May of that year. Rodion is an international student from Kyiv, Ukraine. He is a part of the Corps of Cadets and is a member of the Provisional Battalion.

What led you to Norwich? How did you find out about the school?

When I was trying to get to American colleges I was a volunteer in America House Kyiv – an American cultural center under USA Embassy is Ukraine. This is how I met my best friend, Lauren. During that time, I was admitted to Community College in Houston, TX. Lauren talked to me and changed my mind, and encouraged to apply to Universities. I took the advice and applied to Norwich, where she was going to study. I got in and received a huge scholarship packet that allowed me to start my education.

What is the story behind your choice of major?

I have been involved with IT for quite some time and was looking into opportunities with the great opportunities and something I would love – Cyber hit all of those points for me!

What are your hobbies and extracurriculars on campus and in your personal life?

My biggest hobby is analog photography; I recently started my analog photo club – The Norwich Lens. I am also a part of the SGA Student senate.

What are your post-graduation goals? Do you have a dream career or one that is already set?

I would love to work with three letter agencies, but with my citizenship status, it is not possible, so I hope to pursue a master’s and Ph.D. or get a job in a good company here in the USA after I graduate.
